Parents for Parents is a place where you can learn new skills, make new connections, meet other parents and learn to use your life experience as a tool for influencing the changes you would like to see in your community. The target audience for Parents for Parents are parents of children with special need disorders who want to make a difference for children and families.

Parents for Parents Purpose:
​
The purpose of Parents for parents is to help parents/caregivers gain information, skills and networking opportunities needed to impact current policy and practice related to children with disabilities and to help families deal with the day to day struggles they may be facing. Whether you are having problems with education or socialization, we are here to help in all the ways that we can.
What will you learn?
As a team parent, you will build experience in building or strengthening essential skills including communication, advocacy skills and tips for how and when to use your personal experience to support change from local school to legislation. Parent advocates also learn how to build successful parent-professional partnerships. Also, parents will explore ideas with each other about what they might do to make a difference and design action-planning strategies to meet their goals.

Coming together as a team, we will help others learn to fight for the rights of their children. We are our children's most influential advocate! So let’s unite together for their chance to have excellent schooling, valued services, Parents for Parents support and more. We will not succeed alone!!
